My “Why”

Up until February of 2017, I worked 8 hours a day Monday through Friday. When I was off work, I would play with my daughter, watch TV when she was too busy for me, or just do housework. I felt like I needed something more. I was bored and I was ready for a challenge.

Now, I was NEVER a lipstick wearer. I probably only wore lipstick a handful of times. I HATED it. I hated how it wouldn’t stay. I hated how it would get everywhere and all over my teeth. I hated how it would leave marks on drinking glasses and on my husband when I kissed him. It just was not my thing at all.

In 2016, my friend hosted a LipSense Facebook party. I had never heard of it before and I looked around during the party and thought to myself “why waste my money? I’ll never wear any of this!” The party ended and I forgot all about it. Then, for some reason, a few days later, a post from the party popped up on my Timeline. I don’t know what it was but something just told me to buy some. That’s when I bought First Love, Praline Rose, and Glossy Gloss.

I received them a few days later and as soon as I tried them on, I fell in love. Then, 12 hours later when my LipSense was still on and still perfect even after eating and kissing on my toddler, I was absolutely amazed! I just had to order Fly Girl to wear on Christmas!

It wasn’t until a few months later that it dawned on me that LipSense was probably a great business opportunity. SeneGence was a growing company and everyone I knew who had tried the product was instantly in love. I already had friends asking me where they could get it and encouraging me to sign up because they wanted to buy from me. The only person I knew that sold it was Courtney, the distributor that my friend hosted a party with. I contacted her on Facebook for some information and it all just blossomed from there.

I signed up in February of 2017. My thinking process was that this is a potential for some great money and it just gave me something to do. Well, me being me, I also enrolled in school to pursue my bachelors degree at the same time. I never do one thing at a time. My plate is either full or empty, there’s no in between. Once I started school, I thought to myself “well crap, what have I just got myself into?!” But really, I had this good feeling that I was doing everything right.

And now I’m here. It’s July and I’m running my business, working my full time 9 to 5 job, being a mother and wife, and going to school (and rocking it I must say!) Soon after becoming a distributor, I realized what this business REALLY meant to me.

It wasn’t the money. It wasn’t so much the product even though I absolutely love the product and am still amazed by it to this day. It was how it made me feel. I feel so confident and beautiful when I wear my LipSense and the other SeneGence products. More importantly, it is how I feel when other women come to me and tell me how confident they are when wearing SeneGence products. I’ve had friends, acquaintances, and strangers tell me how grateful they are for LipSense because of how much it has helped their self-esteem and their confidence. That is the best feeling I could have asked for. That is my why.
